CV ecommerce 2022.2
Feature highlights
With plenty of new features (and a few non-critical fixes), our official version releases ensure Commerce Vision customers can take advantage of new functionality regularly. Rest easy knowing everything's been exhaustively tested and documented.
Now you can allow your customers to preview ALL of a product's images without leaving the product list page.
When browsing a page full of search results or diving deep into a product category, it can be distracting to have to click through to individual products to see more images. That's why our new gallery view option is so handy!
Users can simply click through a product's thumbnails to see all available images, right there in the list.
Utilise the space directly under the product search tool for marketing or user-targeted content. When the user clicks in the Search box (but hasn't yet started typing), the banner ad displays. To minimise intrusiveness, once typing begins, the banner will disappear.
Reserve this high traffic space for highlighting new or special products, or to re-display products from a customer's last search.
You can even rent it out to a supplier who is seeking greater exposure.
A digital signature input field can now be added to a questionnaire or form, with the option to make the field mandatory for questionnaires (always required when inserted on forms).
New functionality for our Braintree integration! Allow users to put down a deposit on checkout, rather than requiring payment in full.
You can set the minimum amount, track partially paid orders, and determine how many further payments you'll accept on future orders. Great for special orders, pickup orders, and so much more.
The Standard and Approved Quote mode integrates with the quoting and approvals systems in your ERP.
Settings for this mode are now accessed in the CMS, making it easier to configure. Quote review functions for users include the ability to expire and cancel quotes, as well as request reactivation of old ones. (Must be implemented by Commerce Vision.)
A fully online-managed quoting mode is here. This mode is designed for eCommerce sites that choose not to involve their ERP processes for any stage in the quoting flow. Quotes can also be updated with the latest freight options on acceptance and conversion to an order.
Managing budgets via cost centres is a critical aspect for some of your larger B2B customers. Instead of having to add a cost centre on each order line, you can now allow customers to enter one cost centre for the whole order. A great time-saver that your customers will thank you for!
Let users edit quantities in the Cart Preview popup instead of having to go to the Shopping Cart. This gives them the option of adding items while staying on their current page.
Too many fulfilment mishaps or miscommunications? Making sure your customer adds delivery or pickup instructions before they can submit an order is now an option you can make mandatory. Decide whether to enforce it for delivery or pickup orders, or both.
B2B User registration can now be restricted by Customer Code. Administrators are notified of attempted registrations.
Specific payment types accepted at checkout can be set to allow or require payment evidence. If mandatory, an order cannot be submitted without an attached payment document. An uploaded payment document can be viewed in Order Tracking/History.
This feature can minimise the messiness of matching payment records to website orders when prepayments, or partial and offline payments are accepted on your website. Or your business may want official bank issued records or receipts to make sure transaction IDs can be authenticated, e.g., for direct deposits or BPAY payments. Yet another use case could be third party loan or finance scenarios.
When new customer users integrated from your ERP are created online, automate the sending of invitation emails to activate their online accounts. Users included can be specified. For example, you may want only high-value or premium customers to be targeted.
Optimise the ordering flow for your customers by enabling auto-update of order lines in the Cart page and Cart Preview window. This eliminates the need to manually click the Update Order button.
Order totals are automatically recalculated when product quantities are changed. Line notes and cost centre details are saved as the user types.
Does your B2B business restrict some products to specific customers? As an alternative to the use of ERP-integrated data, you can now create rules online in the CMS with our Product Restrictions feature.
Use rules to define which customers are included or excluded from viewing products or product categories. Product access can also be based on availability in the customer’s default warehouse.
Whether your stock control data are ERP-integrated or created online, use the Product Enquiry tool to check whether a customer account (and role) has access to a specific product.
Confirm a product’s availability and restrictions for any customer user at a glance.
We listened to your feedback and expanded our menu features!
Section menus now accept external page links as targets, page names of custom pages (instead of ID strings) now display in Section Menu dropdowns, and you can create the new section menu you need right when adding or editing a page.
Navigation menus have also been improved and are no longer just for product and category pages. A custom page can now be added at the top level.
Frustrated with user lockouts? Instead of waiting out the lockout period or contacting Commerce Vision, locked out CMS and website users can now be unlocked immediately.
Any CMS user from your business can restore another CMS user's access, and CMS administrators can also unlock a Website user's account.
Title Tags, Meta Descriptions, and SEO URLs. - oh my!
Now it's that bit easier to find and update the SEO data for any page of your website. Just look for Page Properties on the Options button for that page in the CMS. You'll be presented with all of the page's SEO info, collated in one place to facilitate quick and easy maintenance.
Rich media is used more and more to showcase products on the web. To streamline the process, we have made video links for products bulk-assignable by extending the Product Document import facility.
You'll also see helpful image data when you upload new banner, article and category images individually. Concerns about file suitability can be resolved now that both the actual and suggested file size & dimensions are displayed.
But wait, there's more!
